What we collect
Slayers 2 Wiki does not require accounts. The only thing we store about you is what you choose to send through a correction form, described below. We use two analytics tools, both limited to aggregated traffic measurement: page views, referrers, browser type, device type and country.
- Umami, self-hosted and cookie-free. It stores nothing on your device.
- Google Analytics 4, which sets first-party cookies such as
_gato tell returning visits from new ones. IP addresses are anonymised by Google before processing. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it loads only after you tap Accept on the cookie banner.
We do not sell data. The ad network described under Advertising may set cookies of its own; nothing else on the site tracks you across other sites. Any browser content blocker, or Google's own opt-out add-on, stops the Google Analytics tag; the rest of the site works normally without it.
Correction forms
Data pages have a "Suggest a correction" form. Sending it is optional. When you do, we store:
- what you typed: the correction, the optional "how do you know" note and, if you give one, your email address;
- which page and entry it is about, and what the page said at the time;
- the time it was sent;
- a scrambled version of your IP address. It is a keyed hash that changes every day, so it cannot be turned back into your IP address or used to link your visits across days. We use it only to limit how many reports one connection can send and to drop duplicates.
Your IP address itself is never stored. Reports are kept in a Cloudflare D1 database that only we can read. We review each one; we never publish what you wrote word for word, and we use your email address only to ask about that report. Reports are kept while we review them and for up to 12 months after, then deleted. To have yours deleted sooner, email hello@slayers2wiki.com with roughly when you sent it and which page it was on.
Third-party requests
The home page requests live player counts from the public Roblox games API. Roblox may log that request under its own privacy policy. Google Analytics scripts are served by Google. Outbound links to Roblox and Discord are governed by those services.
Advertising
Some pages show ads from Adsterra, a third-party ad network: display and native banners in the page, small in-page notices that you can close and at most one pop-under window a day, opened behind this page when you tap it. Each one is labelled "Advertisement" or has a close button. Adsterra and its advertisers may use cookies or similar technologies to choose and measure these ads, under Adsterra's privacy policy. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked first: no Adsterra ad or ad script loads until you tap Accept on the cookie banner, Reject means no ads, and the "Cookie choices" link in the footer lets you change your answer. The answer is kept for six months in a first-party ad_consent cookie. We have not enabled its direct-link or redirect formats. Apart from that one daily pop-under, the site stops any ad from taking you to another site or opening a new tab unless you click the ad itself. If an ad ever redirects you, opens a page by itself or plays sound, email hello@slayers2wiki.com with the page address and we will remove it.
